Dry and warm to end the weekend (1/14/23)
Cloud cover has been increasing Saturday evening after mostly sunny skies for most of the day. Temperatures will be slightly warmer overnight into Sunday, only cooling into the upper 20s across our area. Winds will be light and out of the south as the high pressure moves eastward.
Sunday’s temperatures will warm up nicely through the morning, topping off in the 50s and warmer than Saturday. We’ll stay above average as we end the weekend and start next week.
One of the factors helping us get back to the 50s will be the increased southerly flow through our region. Gusts on Sunday are likely to be about 20-25 mph at times. Then, we’ll continue to warm up into next week ahead of our next system.
Next week we have a couple chances for rain, including an early chance on Monday that will start after midnight and into the afternoon. More rain will be possible with a midweek system as well.
