Excessive heat likely
The heat is going to be the main issue the next several days. Temperatures will be in the triple digits for highs through Saturday before cooling back down into the 90s for highs by Sunday. Precipitation chances are small, but there is a chance over the weekend.
Excessive Heat Warnings (pink) are in place through Friday. Peak heat indices will be in the 110 to 115 range. Heat Advisories (orange) are also in place through Friday. Peak heat indices in these areas will be in the 100 to 105 range.
Actual high temperatures will be in the lower and middle triple digits.
With dewpoints in the upper 60s to middle 70s, the heat index will likely be very close to 110 degrees much of the afternoon.
Temperatures will start about 10 degrees above average and end up about 10-15 degrees above average.
It remains dry, so the Skeeter Meter remains low… for now.
Looking forward to next week, we may see a little more rain than average according to the ServPro 6-10 day precipitation outlook.
