Excessive heat through the week
Heat and humidity is here to stay for the rest of the week. The good news, however, is that we cool off dramatically by the weekend. No precipitation is expected for a while.
Tuesday will start off warm and end up hot. Highs are expected to be in the upper 90s.
Not only will it be hot, it’ll be humid, too. Again. The heat index will top out near 115 degrees.
All of us will be in the 90s for highs. There may be a couple of 100s, too.
The dewpoint will once again be in the upper 70s to around 80 degrees.
Thus, 110 to 116 degree heat indices are likely.
If you do venture outside, you may run into a few mosquitos.
The good news out of all this? The 80s come back into the forecast Sunday into next week!
