Have that umbrella handy this week! Sunday evening, showers and thunderstorms will become widespread across the region. Storms and showers will continue through Tuesday evening. The best chance to see some stronger storms would be Monday afternoon through Tuesday. There will be areas of FLASH FLOODING through these next few days. Through Tuesday morning, rain totals could range from 0.75″- 2.50″+. There will be areas of FLASH FLOODING with these rain showers and thunderstorms. The best chance to see the most rain and flooding concerns will be in parts of Missouri and Illinois.
An EXCESSIVE RAINFALL OUTLOOK is in place across the region for Monday. Rain from thunderstorms could cause flash flooding concerns.
A level 2 EXCESSIVE RAINFALL OUTLOOK is in place across the region for Tuesday. Rain from thunderstorms will LIKELY cause flash flooding across SE Missouri.
We also have to worry about a few storms on the strong to severe side Monday evening and Tuesday. Main threats will be gusty winds and small hail.
Monday morning will be another mild one! Temperatures will only reach the mid to upper 60s and some lower 70s across the region.
Southwest winds will be gusting to around 15-20 mph Monday afternoon.
High temperatures Monday will reach the mid to upper 80s under partly sunny skies with rain and storms.
