Another HOT summer like day across the south, with afternoon feels-like temperatures peaking near 104-110 degrees. Temperatures will reach the upper 90s & triple digits with dew points in the 60s & 70s!
High temperatures Thursday afternoon reaching the upper 90s & triple digits under mostly sunny skies & light winds.
South winds will stay between 5-10 mph through Thursday.
Friday morning, temperatures will be well above average! Morning temperatures in the mid to upper 70s under clear skies.
Friday afternoon, a few pop up showers/T-storms will be possible south of Carbondale. Some storms may have heavy rain & gusty winds.
The EXTREME HEAT WARNING is still in effect through Saturday evening. Heat index values up to 110 degrees or more!
