Eyeing a weekend mess potential
It is going to be a quiet Thursday with plenty of cloud cover. Temperatures make it into the upper 30s by late morning.
Highs will be right around normal for early January. Lots of lower to mid 40s by the afternoon.
The wind will be out of the northwest at 5 to 15 mph.
We do have a small chance for some light rain late Thursday into very early Friday. It won’t amount to much.
A better chance for precipitation comes our way over the weekend. By early Sunday, a rain/snow/freezing rain mix will be moving across our area. Travel will likely be difficult. This is still several days away, so timing and severity is still being worked out. I will have more details in the coming days!
