First frost possible AM Monday and Tuesday
Monday morning’s lingering showers will be our last chance for precipitation for a while. Temperatures will drop near to below freezing Sunday and Monday night. Some areas could experience their first frost of the season. Temperatures warm towards the end of the week.
A Freeze Warning is in place through 10:00am on Monday. Reynolds and Madison are expecting temperatures to drop below freezing Sunday into Monday morning.
Monday morning will be on the chilly side. Temperatures in SEMO and southern Illinois will come near or below freezing. Low to mid 30s are forecast for parts of SEMO and southern Illinois.
A Freeze Watch is in place starting Monday night into Tuesday morning. Temperatures are expected to drop below freezing overnight. A frost or freeze could harm any sensitive vegetation or plumbing that is not properly protected from the cold.
Following a wet weekend, some lingering showers are possible early Monday morning. We dry up by the afternoon, with decreasing clouds. The sun comes back late afternoon. Temperatures start chilly in the 30s then gradually warm into the 40s.
We will be mainly dry throughout the next work week. Temperatures will dip below freezing Sunday night and again Monday night. The first widespread frost of the season is possible Tuesday morning. We gradually warm heading into the weekend.
