Severe Weather Potential:

Here is a look at storm timing for several rounds of showers and storms possible going into the weekend, according to the latest run of StormCast.

A Slight Risk of severe weather remains in place on Saturday, with additional storms moving through during the afternoon. Isolated tornadoes, large hail, damaging winds and torrential rainfall will be possible in the strongest storms.

A Flood Watch remains in place for the viewing area until early Sunday morning, with several inches of additional rainfall still possible through the weekend.

Forecast:

Lows on early Saturday morning will be seasonal in the lower to middle 70s.

Storm chances are likely through the overnight hours in Cape Girardeau.

Highs tomorrow will be limited by cloud cover and storm chances in the northern half of the viewing area. Those to the south may still see the upper 80s to lower 90s.

Any outdoor Saturday plans in Cape should consult the radar throughout the day as storm chances remain likely.

Daily storm chances remain in the forecast through early next week. Once we lose the chances for showers and thunderstorms, we will resume the summertime heat with highs returning to the 90s.
