Heat and Humidity Continues (7/5/22)
Heat and humidity is going to be an issue over the next several days.
Excessive Heat Warnings (pink/red shaded counties) are in place for most of the KBSI viewing area through Thursday. Heat Advisories (orange shaded counties) are in place for the rest of the area. Temperatures will get into the upper 90s and lower 100s for the next several days and with the humidity in the 70s, the heat index will likely be in the 100-110+ range.
Isolated showers and thunderstorms will be possible in the afternoon the next couple of days, with a little bit better chance on Friday. Those could linger into very early Saturday morning.
With as hot and humid as it’s going to be, then toss in the rain chances over the next few days, the Skeeter Meter is high!
Cooler air will then spread in for the weekend. Highs for the weekend will “only” be around 90 degrees!
We do warm back up a little for next week, with highs in the lower and middle 90s.
