Heat, humidity, and storms (8/27/22)
It’s going to be a little above average for temperatures the next couple of days. Highs will be in the upper 80s and lower 90s Sunday and Monday, but we’ll also see dewpoints well into the 70s, so it’s going to be very muggy through the first part of the week. But by Wednesday, some drier air starts to work its way in!
Storm are going to be possible on Sunday, but they will be very hit and miss and won’t kick in until the afternoon hours. Storms that do form will pop up, produce brief heavy rain, then die out. The storms will be gone by the early evening hours. After Sunday, there’s a better chance for storms on Monday, mainly in the evening hours. More heavy rain will be possible. After Monday, we’ll dry out for several days.
Because of the heat, humidity, and rainfall potential, the Skeeter Meter will remain high for the time being.
