Hot and humid, storm chance by the end of the week
The heat and humidity will be the main concern this week. Storms will be possible by the end of the week into the weekend.
Tuesday is going to be a very warm day. We’ll start in the 70s and end up in the mid 90s.
The Heat Index will be very high. We’ll likely top out in the 110 degree range by mid afternoon.
There is a Heat Advisory and Extreme Heat Warning in place for most of our viewing area through Friday. The Heat Advisory goes through Wednesday further south, but will likely be extended.
Tuesday will look like much of the rest of the days this week. Mid 90s, not a lot of wind, and high dew points.
The dew points will be in the middle and upper 70s.
The heat index will be very close to 11o degrees each afternoon.
To make matters worse, we don’t cool off much at night. Overnight lows will drop into the middle and upper 70s each night.
Hot and humid will be the forecast all the way through the holiday weekend. There will be small storm chances Friday, through the weekend, into early next week.
