Light showers Sunday night brings in cooler air (3/26/23)
Evening showers are expected to only last a short while, and mainly only for the northern portion of our viewing area. North of about Fredericktown through Mount Vernon, there could be up to a quarter of an inch seen from these showers, but they move out by Monday morning. Most of us should stay fairly dry through this event.
Temperatures overnight will be nearing normal, falling to the lower 40s despite a warmer afternoon and some increased cloud cover. Temperatures will not go very far once the cold front moves through, only adding about 10° for a daytime high.
Beyond Sunday evening, we will not see rain chances for a while. And probably for the best, too, with the amount of rain we’ve seen lately. Temperatures will slowly improve from Monday to Tuesday and Tuesday to Wednesday, before finally rising above normal on Thursday ahead of some thunderstorm chances. And before you know it, April will be here!
