Looking ahead: dry and mild (1/3/23)
The next few days are going to be dry and at or above average. The average high for the first week in January is around 43 degrees. The average low is 27.
Last night, we had some strong storms roll through. There were several reports of damage due to thunderstorms (above) and was mainly in Kentucky.
Above is the radar indicated precipitation amounts. These are not official, but it’s what the radar picks up on and estimates are the totals. They are usually fairly close! Much of our area saw 3-4″ of rain overnight into early Tuesday.
Above are a few of the official rainfall totals. 5.20″ in Murray was the highest reported.
After the rain came to an end, it warmed up. A lot. Highs were only a few degrees away from record highs!
Moving forward, we get back to normal for temperatures. We’ll be around 50 Wednesday, 40s to round out the week, then warmer with rain chances to start the weekend.
