Mild, afternoon storm chances this week
Temperatures are expected to remain mild in the mid 80s during the day on Tuesday. Patchy fog will be possible during the morning hours before seeing scattered clouds for most of the afternoon.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible during the afternoon hours on Tuesday. The latest model runs show storms entering the area shortly after noon and moving out by dinner time.
Temperatures across the area are expected to be slightly below average with high temperatures in the lower to mid 80s. Winds are expected to be light and variable.
Humidity could still play a factor tomorrow with dewpoints sitting in the upper 60s and lower 70s. This could push the heat index for many places into to the upper 80s on Tuesday.
Temperatures will remain in the mid 80s with the best chance of showers and thunderstorms during the mid afternoon hours for the rest of the week. Temperatures and humidity levels are expected to rise going into next week.
