Mild for Trick or Treating, Showers Likely Saturday
Low temperatures across the Heartland are expected to stay just about average for this time of year in the lower to middle 40s.
Partly cloudy skies for Halloween night before temperatures fall to the lower 40s to start off the month of November.
While rain chances hold out for Halloween festivities, they quickly return to the forecast on Saturday. Stormcast shows the possibility of a brief morning shower before seeing more widespread showers by the afternoon. No thunder expected tomorrow but we could be looking at rainfall totals around a quarter of an inch.
Highs will be much cooler compared to Friday, especially for our northern counties. A few 60s may still sneak their way in there, but most of us will be in the 50s tomorrow.
Expect at least a chance for showers for most of the day tomorrow in Cape Girardeau. Highs tomorrow will reach the lower 50s under heavy cloud cover.
Overnight lows will close in on the lower 30s beginning early Sunday morning. A Freeze Watch is in place for the early morning hours on Sunday with the possibilty of our first hard freeze of the fall season.

Below average temperatures continue for the weekend before we look to heat up throughout the next work week. Tempertures look to climb as high as the upper 60s and lower 70s by the middle of next week under mostly sunny skies. Chances for rain look to stay out of the forecast until the end of next week.
