Mild week, storms by Thursday

Our average high for this time of year is right around 70 degrees. The next few days will be well above that, until a cold front rolls through Thursday. That will bring with it cooler temperatures and many storm chances.

Tuesday will start off a little on the cool side, but we warm up into the 60s by noon and into the 70s for the afternoon.

Some of us may get to 80 degrees by Tuesday afternoon, but most of us will see the middle and upper 70s for highs. The wind will be light.

Storms start to become possible as a cold front moves through on Thursday. Those storm chances linger into the weekend.

The best chance for storms on Thursday will happen late Thursday into very early Thursday. Strong to severe storms will be possible.

Because of this chance for strong to severe storm late Thursday, the Storm Prediction Center already has us in a 15% risk for severe storms. It’s something we’ll be keeping a close eye on!
