Milder Black Friday morning with clouds decreasing (11/24/22)

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours! We have seen rain throughout the area and some pockets off to the west seeing over an inch of rainfall. Within Cape Girardeau, about a quarter of an inch fell by the time the widespread rain fell apart and dissipated.

Rain chances will taper off just after midnight tonight with mostly cloudy skies left behind to keep us in the middle and upper 40s throughout the night. In that case, if you are someone who is going to get up early tomorrow to shop some deals, it’ll be one of the warmer starts to Friday morning as clouds hang around.

Black Friday

Temperatures will attempt to climb into the middle and upper 50s to end the week, and we will stay on the warmer side of normal for some time to come. Winds during the day Friday will be ranging from calm to breezy as gusts near 20 miles per hour. It’s likely that the southeastern part of our coverage area, near western Kentucky and Tennessee will see temperatures nearing 60°.

Dma Tomorrow High

The weekend will welcome warm weather, too, as temperatures near the upper 50s and low 60s with the chance to see some more rain. The next round will look to impact our area by Saturday afternoon and carry into the early morning hours of Sunday. With how warm we have been, precipitation that falls will be in the form of rain. And as we end the month of November, another round of storms could pass through by the middle of next week.
