Mix of Clouds and Sunshine, Showers Possible
Expect a mix of clouds and sun for our Thursday forecast with warm afternoon weather on the way. As highs reach the mid-80s, there is a chance for showers and possibly a rumble of thunder across the Heartland.
Better chances of precipitation will exist to the west of the viewing area throughout the day on Thursday, though a few showers and possibly a thunderstorm cannot be ruled out.
Low temperatures will be seasonal on Wednesday evening and early Thursday morning, with lows in the 60s.
With dew points in the 50s and 60s through the overnight hours, areas of patchy fog will be possible near Cape Girardeau.
A warm late-spring afternoon is on the way with highs reaching the lower and middle 80s across the viewing area.
A few passing showers cannot be ruled out for Cape, though we should see a little sunshine peaking through partly cloudy skies.
Temperatures will be fairly consistent over the next seven days, with a healthy dose of humidity for the Heartland as well. With the higher levels of humidity, daily chances of showers and thunderstorms remain in the forecast until early June.
