Monday Morning Showers, Mostly Cloudy Afternoon

Showers will be possible for the Monday morning commute ahead of mostly cloudy skies for the afternoon.

The latest runs of StormCast show chances for showers through the overnight hours and into the start of the day on Monday.

Low temperatures tonight will be above average for the Heartland, with many of us only dropping to the upper 30s and lower 40s.

Showers are likely for the rest of the evening in Cape Girardeau with a strong northeasterly wind.

Overcast skies will keep much of the area under 50 degrees for our high temperatures on Monday.

Showers will be possible for the morning Cape, which will set us up for afternoon temperatures that will be below average for early March.

The cooler weather will not last long as we see temperatures return to the 70s on Tuesday. Chances for showers and thunderstorms look to stay with us through the rest of the work week and into the weekend.
