More heat through Friday
The heat and humidity will be here through the first half of the weekend, but a cold front will sweep through on Saturday. That cold front will give us some rain chances and cool us off for Sunday. In fact, we’ll be really close to the 70s for highs by the middle of next week! Storms are possible Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Excessive Heat Warnings continue through Friday. The heat index will be very close to 115 in the afternoon.
Actual high temperatures will climb into the upper 90s one more time this week before cooler air starts to move in.
The dewpoint will also be very high.
Those 105 to 115 heat indices are here for Friday but they should be gone by the weekend.
A few storms will be possible Friday afternoon.
The dewpoint will slowly but surely decrease over the next several days.
We do have a rain chance on Saturday and Sunday, so the Skeeter Meter will be a little high on Sunday.
