Morning Fog, Mostly Sunny on Friday
Warmer temperatures look to continue into the start of the weekend, with afternoon highs close to 15 degrees above average over the next couple of days.
Heading into Friday, overnight low temperatures will be in the middle 30s for most of us. Areas further south will see the upper 30s to lower 40s.
We are looking at the middle 30s for our overnight low in Cape Girardeau. Areas of patchy fog will be possible for the morning commute.
The latest runs of StormCast show low-level cloud cover developing for the start of Friday, with mostly sunny skies to follow.
Afternoon temperatures will be well above average across the Heartland, reaching the upper 60s and lower 70s for high temperatures on Friday.
After the morning fog, we should see plenty of sunshine in Cape with our high temperature in the upper 60s.
A change in the large-scale weather pattern looks to arrive on Sunday with our next best chance of precipitation.
Temperatures will plummet on Sunday as well, with chances for precipitation possible for much of the week ahead. A more active weather pattern will likely keep us at or below average with chances for precipitation through the first week of March.
