Plenty of much needed rainfall to close the weekend across the Heartland. As of 9 p.m. CDT Cape Girardeau sits just over 1 3/4 inches of rain.

Low temperatures tonight will remain seasonably warmer in the upper 40s and lower 50s.
Lows tonight in Cape will be in the lower 50s under mostly cloudy skies. Expect showers to continue through early Monday.
Highs on Monday will be still well below average for late October in the upper 50s and lower 60s. Mostly cloudy skies to follow the morning showers.
Highs tomorrow in Cape will reach the upper 50s with an east-northeasterly breeze. Keep the rain jacket handy as you head out the door for the morning commute.
Storm chances return Tuesday evening and into the day on Wednesday. A small chance of morning showers on Thursday before temperatures climb into the lower 60s with mostly sunny skies just in time for Halloween and the following weekend.
