Fairly consistent temperatures Friday night and into the overnight for Cape Girardeau under mostly cloudy skies. Continued cloudy cover overnight will limit our cooling as we head into the weekend.
Scattered showers and potentially a thunderstorm will be possible into the day Saturday. Rain chances increase as you head through the afternoon.
It was a colder start to the day across the Heartland with many of us in the mid-30s this morning! However, lows in the 40s and 50s were not far from our viewing area.
Our low temperatures will be much warmer this evening with many of us in the 50s.
Showers will be possible in Cape this evening with mostly cloudy skies. Lows tonight will be in the lower 50s with an easterly wind.
Not to sound like a broken record, but mostly cloudy skies on Saturday will limit high temperatures across our area. Highs tomorrow will be in the mid-to-upper 60s and lower 70s.

Storm chances will continue into early next week with our high temperatures dropping into the upper 50s and lower 60s. Sunny skies look to finally return to the forecast late next week after several upper-level disturbances pass through the Heartland over the coming days.
