Mostly Sunny on Friday, Temperatures Continue to Rise This Weekend

Forecast:
Temperatures this afternoon in Cape Girardeau will reach the lower 90s with mostly sunny skies. Winds will be out of the southeast between 5 and 10 miles per hour, with increased cloud cover heading into the overnight hours.
Low temperatures across our area will fall to the mid-60s tonight with partly cloudy skies. Winds will be out of the east-southeast between 5 and 10 miles per hour.
Looking ahead to the start of the weekend, we will see another day in the lower 90s and mostly sunny skies for Cape Girardeau. Winds remain light out of the south-southwest in the morning before shifting to be out of the south-southeast in the afternoon.
Temperatures across the Heartland look to be 10 degrees above average or warmer on Saturday. Mostly sunny skies and a light breeze out of the south will be felt across the region.
Higher levels of humidity continue through the weekend, with dew points reaching the lower 70s heading into next week.
Our latest stretch of warmer temperatures peaks during the back half of this weekend into early next week. High temperatures will rise to the mid-90s with mostly sunny skies until temperatures cool down next Friday with some additional cloud cover moving into the area.
