Mostly Sunny on Sunday, Storm Chances Return Monday
Forecast:
One more day of above average temperatures on Sunday before we look to see a cooler start to the work week. Mostly sunny today across the Heartland with highs reaching the mid-80s.
Cooler temperatures on Monday will also come with storm chances for much of the region. Stormcast shows showers and thunderstorms coming up from the south tomorrow morning, with storm chances continuing into Tuesday.
Low temperatures tonight are back in the upper 50s and lower 60s. Mostly clear skies this evening will likely push most of us to at least the lower 60s.
A mild close to the weekend in Cape Girardeau with lows tonight in the 50s. A light breeze out of the southeast will join mostly clear skies.
High temperatures tomorrow will take a plunge with passing showers and thunderstorms cooling the region off.
Monday will be the closet Cape has been to near-average temperatures since the start of the month. Highs tomorrow will reach the mid-70s, with showers and thunderstorms possible throughout the day.
Early week storm chances lead to sunshine by the middle of this week. When the sunshine returns, temperatures are also expected to climb back up into the lower 80s. Mostly sunny skies continue through next weekend.
