Forecast:

Temperatures will gradually cool off this evening, with many of us still in the 80s by 10 p.m. this evening. We will see mostly sunny skies and a light breeze for the rest of Wednesday.

Low temperatures tonight will drop into the upper 60s, with a few spots staying above the 70-degree mark. Mostly clear skies tonight with light and variable winds.

Stormcast keeps us clear from precipitation for both the morning and evening commutes on Thursday. We could see some early morning fog followed by a few clouds, particularly during the afternoon hours.

High temperatures tomorrow will be a couple of degrees above average in the lower 90s with mostly sunny skies. Light winds continue with humidity driving our heat index into the upper 90s.

For Cape Girardeau, plenty of sunshine on Thursday as tempeartures quickly heat up during the morning hours. Our high temperature for tomorrow will be in the lower 90s with a light and variable wind.

Dew points will remain in the mid-70s over the next several days. This will push heat indices in the region into the upper-90s for most of the extended forecast.

We will be slightly warmer through the weekend before returning to near average on Sunday. Highs in the lower 90s and lows in the lower 70s will be the case for the foreseeable future. We can expect our area to stay dry until our next best chance at precipitation enters the forecast next Tuesday.
