(KBSI) – The National Weather Service Paducah is calling for possible snow of an inch or more in the KBSI viewing area this weekend.

The graphics depict the chance (or probability) that snowfall could exceed one inch or more (image on left) and the chance (or probability) that snowfall could exceed two inches or more (image on right) for the entire weather event. As of Wednesday morning, light snow is expected to move in late Friday night, mix with rain early Saturday, then change over to all snow before moving out Saturday night or very early Sunday morning.

The “early look” at total snowfall potential this weekend initially suggests that the best chances for higher snowfall amounts may occur in southeast Missouri. However, that could change.

Between now and Friday, there will still be quite a bit of uncertainty as to the location, amounts, and intensity of any snowfall that occurs.
