Near average temperatures, heat on the way

Friday will be the start of several days coming up where the high temperature is expected to be into the 90s. Light cloud cover is possible throughout most of the day, but there should still be plenty of sunshine to close out the work week, with a light wind out of the south.

High temperatures across the region will be near average on Friday. Most of us will see temperatures in the upper 80s to lower 90s.

Dewpoints in the area will reach the upper 60s, with a few spots even seeing the lower 70s. Outside conditions could feel a little sticky, with the heat index expected to be in the lower to mid 90s for most of the region.

There is not a drop of rain in the forecast over the next seven days, however, hot and humid conditions are expected for the first half of next week. High temperatures on Monday and Tuesday are forecasted near the record high temperature, which was last set on both days back in 1983. Mostly sunny skies will continue into the later part of next week.
