Near record highs Wednesday
It’s going to be very warm on Wednesday. So warm, we may see record highs! We remain mild on Thursday, then cool down a little Friday.
Storms are possible Thursday, then it’ll be dry through most of the weekend.
The record high for Wednesday in Cape Girardeau is 69 set in 1983. We’ll be VERY close to that record high!
Other record highs for Wednesday include:
Paducah: 73 (2018)
Carbondale: 73 (1930)
Poplar Bluff: 76 (1935)
Those record highs are likely safe, but it’ll be warm regardless!
It’s going to be dry through Wednesday, but a shower and thunderstorm chance starts to increase late Wednesday into Thursday.
The best chance will be Thursday morning and afternoon.
A line of storms will move from west to east across our area early Thursday morning.
Another line of storms is likely by late morning and early afternoon Thursday.
After the storm chance Thursday, it’ll be dry Friday and through most of the weekend. The next chance for rain comes our way Sunday night into Monday.
