Near record highs Wednesday, some storms possible
Very warm temperatures are expected over the next several days. Storms are going to be possible each day, as well.
The record high for Cape Girardeau Wednesday is 87 degrees set in 2012. We’ll be very close to that temperature by the afternoon!
The record high for Paducah is 90, for Carbondale it’s 91, and for Poplar Bluff it’s 93. We’ll likely fall short of those tempertures.
We’ll start the day well above average and in the lower 60s. We’ll top out in the middle 80s by 4pm.
Scattered showers and storms may from by late afternoon if we see enough heating of the day. The severe weather threat is low.
There are a lot of 80s and a lot of storm chances in the 7Day forecast!
