On and off storm chances, remaining warm
Storms are going to be possible on and off through the next several days with temperatures remaining mild. A very June kind of forecast.
The best chance for severe weather through Thursday night into very early Friday is to our north, especially into northern Illinois.
We’re on the very southern edge of this storm potential, so a couple of strong storms are possible overnight, especially further north.
Above is what our StormCast weather model is saying for timing, duration, and location of the storms. These will push south and southeast through the very early morning hours.
For Friday, we remain warm, which is exactly where we should be this time of year.
It won’t be too humid, either. Dew points will generally in the upper 50s into the 60s. Not too bad for June!
We remain warm heading into the weekend. Lots of middle and upper 80s are likely.
After a dry Friday, storms are possible again Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. We dry back out by the middle of next week.
