One More Day of Storms (5/5/22)

Kbsi 3day

We’re heading into Mother’s Day weekend and after a few scattered showers and thunderstorms on Friday, the weekend is looking warm and dry. Perfect weather for mom!

On Friday, a lingering frontal boundary will give us a few more chances for rain with thunderstorms also possible, but the threat for severe storms is small. Most of the activity will be done by the afternoon, but the added cloud cover will keep our temperatures cooler than average.

Saturday is going to be quiet and mild. Highs will be just a little below average but we’ll see plenty of sunshine and a light breeze.

Mother’s Day will be a little warm with highs near 80 degrees. We’ll also see a mix of sun and clouds.

Next week is looking like we’ll see our first heat wave of the season. Highs will push into the upper 80s each day with the lower 90s not out of the question. Record highs for each day next week in Cape Girardeau are in the upper 80s!
