One more dry day before wet weather returns – 4/9/2022

Saturday was our transition to a warmer weather pattern – we said goodbye to the 40s and hello to the 60s in Cape Girardeau! The day featured a lot of sunshine, and we expect skies to remain mostly clear overnight and into Sunday morning. Some high clouds will be arriving by early Sunday morning, and temperatures should be in the upper-30s to lower-40s for most.

Saturday Night Forecast

High clouds continue to filter into the area on Sunday, but we should remain dry. Highs will be even warmer, in the middle to upper-70s.

Sunday Forecast

You’ll likely notice that the wind will be a much bigger player on Sunday afternoon. Southerly winds will ramp up, with a few gusts upwards of 40mph not out of the question. A Wind Advisory has been issued for all of southeast Missouri.

Wind Advisory

A cold front approaches late Sunday and will arrive on Monday morning. That is when shower and storm chances start to increase. As of now, the forecast appears wet through Wednesday.
