One warm day ahead as chance for storms increase

One more day of temperatures in the 70s then a quick cool down for Thursday and Friday. Chances for storms increases for the next three days, bringing heavy rain showers and gusty winds. Possibly even some thunderstorms for Wednesday and Thursday.

Wednesday’s temperatures starting cooler in the 40s then by noon quickly reach the lower 70s for most areas.

Possible chance of rain showers starting after noon Wednesday then there is a slight chance of thunderstorms after 3pm. Two other “waves” of precipitation are expected to continue until Friday afternoon. The next three days are likely to total over 1 inch of precipitation for most areas by Friday at 6am.

With these approaching storms there is a marginal severe weather risk for parts of the Missouri boot heel and Northwestern Tennessee. Southern parts of Arkansas and Tennessee are in a slight risk for Wednesday.

A stormy start to March, the first few days of the new month expecting storms and cooler temperatures. After the storms pass we will see mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies during the weekend into the new work week. Temperatures slowly climb back into the 60s for Monday and Tuesday.
