Pleasant Close to the Weekend

A sunny close to the weekend ahead for Cape Girardeau, with Sunday afternoon temperatures expected in the lower 60s.

North-northwesterly winds continue for the overnight hours, though we do expect above-average overnight lows for much of the Heartland.

We will see gradually clearing skies for Saturday night in Cape Girardeau as our overnight lows reach the lower 40s.

Stormcast shows cloud cover clearing west to east across the viewing area through the overnight hours. Lots of sunshine ahead by the afternoon.

For Sunday, highs across the region will be close to 10 degrees above average with a light southwesterly wind.

In Cape, we should see a pleasant close to the weekend under mostly sunny skies and highs in the lower 60s.

A warm start to the work week ahead with highs returning to the 70s. Storm chances start up once again late Monday into Tuesday and Wednesday. There is a chance for severe weather, which we will continue to monitor over the coming days.
