Pleasant on Thursday, Warmer into the Weekend
After a mild and stormy couple of days, seasonal temperatures look to return with plenty of sunshine for Thursday in Cape Girardeau.
The latest runs of StormCast show gradual clearing through the overnight hours, followed by mostly sunny skies on Thursday.
Lows will be near-average for much of the Heartland, with a strong wind out of the north gusting to 35 miles per hour.
We start out cloudy on Wednesday evening in Cape Girardeau, though we should clear through the overnight hours.
Highs will reach the mid-50s for much of the viewing area on Thursday, with winds shifting to be out of the west-southwest.
A fairly calm Thursday ahead for Cape with mostly sunny skies and a light breeze.
We stay quiet into the start of the weekend, with highs returning to the 60s. Temperatures look to reach their peak on Sunday ahead of an incoming system that will bring such a chance for storms. Following this disturbance, cooler temperatures arrive for the start of next week.
