Quiet and warm Friday, storms Sunday

Friday and daytime on Saturday will be dry and warm. Temperatures will reach the lower to mid-90s. Storm chances arrive overnight Saturday into Sunday. Strong to severe storms are possible throughout Father’s Day. Widespread rain, damaging wind speeds and large hail are the biggest threats. An isolated tornado cannot be ruled out. The Storm Alert team will continue to monitor these storms very closely.

Friday’s temperatures are very warm with many 90s and few upper 80s. Wind speeds from the N at 5-10 mph remain calm heading into the evening.

Early morning sunshine expected to start off our Friday. Increasing cloud coverage arrives in the afternoon making partly sunny skies.

Dewpoints are on the higher side, leaving a slight “sticky” feeling in the air. We will see a dry, warm and humid Friday.

Friday’s mosquito activity is on the lower ranking. Storms are arriving for our weekend increasing the regions humidity levels. More mosquito activity can be seen Saturday through Sunday.

Dry and warm both Friday and Saturday. There is a chance for storms Saturday night into Sunday. Our best chance to see strong to severe storms will be throughout Father’s Day. Storm chances continue into the start of our next work week. After a brief cool down on Sunday temperatures will warm back into the 90s and upper 80s later in the week.
