Quiet for now, weekend winter storm likely

A WINTER STORM WATCH is in place for a storm that will start to impact our area late Saturday into Sunday. Rain, snow, and freezing rain will be possible.

Before we get to that storm, though, we have to get through Friday, which looks quiet and cool.

Highs will eventually make it into the middle and upper 30s to around 40 degrees. A little below average.

Saturday will be quiet, too. Then, the storm makes its way towards us late Saturday evening into Sunday. Below is what our StormCast model is showing for timing and duration. The pink is a rain/snow/ice mix.

After the mix mess Saturday night into Sunday, we quiet down and cool off.
