Quiet Middle of the Week (5/3/22)
Wednesday is going to start off on the chilly side with temperatures in the upper 40s and lower 50s, but we’ll warm up fairly quick with a mixture of sun and clouds throughout the day. The high will eventually get to around 70 degrees with a light northeast breeze.
The next chance for showers and thunderstorms comes our way on Thursday. There will be a couple of waves of storms that move through with one in the morning and then one in the afternoon and evening. That second wave will have the chance to produce some severe weather with large hail and damaging wind the main concerns. An isolated tornado may be possible, as well. The picture below shows those that are highlighted in yellow with a Slight Risk and those with the lines drawn over the yellow with a little bit better chance for strong storms.
After the severe threat on Thursday, Friday may see a few lingering showers and storms, but the severe threat will be minimal.
Heading into Mother’s Day Weekend, Saturday may see a few showers, but Sunday is looking very nice with partly cloudy skies and highs in the upper 70s!
