Quieting down into the weekend
Strong storms rolled through Friday morning with several Severe Thunderstorm Warnings and a few Tornado Warnings. Now we quiet down and cool off as we head into the weekend.
Clouds remain through 4pm Friday with temperatures dropping quickly. Most of us will be in the 40s by this time.
The wind will be excessive through Friday afternoon. Gusts may reach 50 mph in some areas. With as much rain as we’ve seen (several inches), some trees may eventually be pushed over. Power could be disrupted.
Because of the wind potential, Wind Advisories and High Wind Warnings are in place into Friday night.
By 9pm, we quiet down and cool off. Clouds will start to clear out at this time.
More importantly, the wind dies down after the sun goes down Friday night.
By Saturday afternoon, we rebound into the upper 50s and lower 60s with mostly sunny skies and a lot less wind.
