Rain chances continue for several days (7/27/22)

Our parched soils could be getting some relief over the next several days, as there are several rain chances in the forecast.

Storms remain possible on Wednesday evening and overnight, so do not be surprised if you hear rain on your rooftops while sleeping. A frontal system slowly slides through the area on Thursday, bringing a good chance for storms along with it.

Chances are many will see rain at some point on Thursday. If things can set up just right, we could also be looking at the potential for flooding concerns in a few areas.

Excessive Rainfall Outlook Kbsi

Temperatures should back off a bit as a result of the increased rain chances. We’re forecasting high temperatures in the 80s for most. However, give or take a few degrees depending on the timing of the rainfall.

Dma Tomorrow High Kbsi

Our Skeeter Meter remains in the “High” and “Ugh” territory over the next couple of days given the potential for rain.

Skeeter Meter

We keep rain chances elevated through the weekend and early next week. In other words, there are several opportunities to pick up some meaningful precipitation.

Long-term computer model guidance suggests a ridge of high-pressure building by the middle of next week. That would bring drier weather along with more heat back into the area.
