Rain chances then cooler temperatures (8/28/22)
We are going to see above average temperatures for the next couple of days and it’s going to be humid. The highs in the afternoon will be in the upper 80s and lower 90s Monday and Tuesday with dewpoints in the middle and upper 70s. The heat index will be very close to the triple digits each day!
Then, cooler air starts to move in Wednesday. The highs will still be a little above average, but the dewpoint will be much lower, making it feel a lot more tolerable.
Precipitation chances are high for Monday and many of us will see quite a bit of rain. There is the potential for an inch or more by the end of Monday.
After the rain chance on Monday, there will still be a small chance for storms on Tuesday. By Wednesday, the sun comes out and we dry out for a few days. With the heat and humidity and rain chances Monday and Tuesday, the Skeeter Meter is still pretty high. It gets better on Wednesday, though!
