Rain headed our way
The next few days will be well above average for high temperatures. The average high for the end of December is 43 and that’s where our lows are going to be! Our highs will be in the 50s through the weekend and into the 60 next week. Precipitation chances are high through Friday, then dry for the weekend.
Our best chance for rain (above) comes our way Friday morning and into the afternoon. Lingering showers will be possible Friday afternoon into Saturday.
Above is what the radar may look like Friday afternoon. This will be about the end of the heavier rain, but lingering showers will be possible.
The rainfall potential through Friday night is anywhere from a half an inch to an inch and a quarter. With the recent snowfall melt, the ground is saturated so additional rainfall may lead to some localized flooding.
Temperatures over the next five days are well above average, but rain chances are high Friday and then again Monday into Tuesday. After that, we cool back down and get closer to normal.
