Rain stopping for a time (12/10/22)

Looking into total rainfall amounts from Saturday alone, Cape Girardeau and areas west saw anywhere from over a quarter of an inch to over 1.25″ of accumulation. Cape Girardeau recorded 0.34″ of rain for Saturday, with cloudy conditions continuing throughout the afternoon.

Overnight into Sunday morning, the clouds will stay with us and keep temperatures from decreasing all that much. But with the end of the weekend and start of the week, we will see a break in the rain chances for now.

Temperatures on Sunday will try to reach the lower 50s despite the cloud cover, continuing the warming trend.

Dma Tomorrow High

Clouds will start to diminish by Sunday evening heading into Monday, and more sunshine can be expected by Monday afternoon. Those conditions will not last, though, as storm chances and more rain possibilities return by Tuesday with temperatures nearing 60°F.
