Relief from the heat, humidity on Thursday
We finally see a break from the smothering heat and humidity following the precipitation we saw throughout the day on Wednesday. On Thursday, we’ll get a nice breeze out of the north northeast and temperatures throughout the afternoon settling in the lower to mid 80s.
Temperatures across the region will end up slightly below average on Thursday, with most places reaching the mid to upper 80s as we enter the back half of the work week.
After seeing dewpoints consistently in the lower to mid 70s, the humidity on Thursday should feel much more manageable. Most places across the region should see dewpoints in the mid 60s, which will help take some of the stickiness out of the air.
We stay dry through the rest of the work week before temperatures soar to start the weekend. Saturday will be hot and humid before we see a chance for showers and thunderstorms that will lead into Sunday morning. We see a short break from the heat on Monday before returning to the 90s.
