Scattered storm chances Labor Day and beyond (9/4/22)
With cloudy skies and little change in the model trends going forward, high temperatures will stay consistent to start the week. Labor Day will still see highs in the lower and mid 80s despite small rain chances.
With scattered rain chances possible throughout the day on Monday, the best chance for a few showers will come in the afternoon with what solar heating can make it through the clouds. Spotty showers are more likely off to the north and east around an upper level low pressure system staying in place for several days.
The Skeeter Meter will stay in the “Ugh” category for the start of the week. Humidity along with rain chances throughout each day will satisfy the conditions in which mosquitos thrive. Even with temperatures staying around the same with a similar pattern, the moisture within the air as seen by the dew point temperatures will tell a muggy tale going forward.
And from this point forward, rain stays in the forecast. There are storm chances possible every day for the next several days before a potential break next Sunday. This week calls for rain jackets and umbrellas to be kept on hand!
