The rest of the week looks to be sunny and hot, with temperatures in the low to mid 90s. This weekend, we could see some more scattered rain and storm chances across the region.

These storms and showers will have gusty winds, lightning and heavy downpours , which will lead to localized flooding in the viewing area. A few scattered rain showers could linger into your morning commute Tuesday morning.
Rain totals through Monday night are ranging from 0.25″ – 0.75″+. Best chance for more than half an inch look to be in parts of SE Missouri and Kentucky.
Tuesday morning, temperatures will be in the low 70s for everyone, with calm winds.
Tuesday, highs will reach the upper 80s with sunny skies and a light northwest breeze at 5–10 mph.
Tuesday afternoon, temperatures will feel like the lower 90s. A cold front will move through late tonight into early Tuesday, bringing a bit of drier air for everyone.
