Scattered Storms Tuesday, Better Chance on Friday
Tuesday, scattered to isolated storm chances move into the viewing area, with the best chances east of the Mississippi River. Thursday, a 15% chance for severe weather in parts of southern Illinois, SE Missouri and western Kentucky. Friday, the best chance for severe weather in the KBSI viewing area. Definitely be weather aware Thursday and especially Friday. A big warmup Thursday, with scattered rain and storm chances continuing into the weekend.
Tuesday afternoon, pockets of sunshine will occur, causing daytime heating. By the early afternoon hours, some scattered to isolated storms develop in parts of western Kentucky, with the best chances east of the Mississippi River. These single cells look to stay in Kentucky through the afternoon and evening. Main threat with these cells would be: heavy downpours, lightning, gusty winds and some small hail.
