Scattered thunderstorms Sunday- Hot through Thursday

A few scattered showers and thunderstorms Sunday afternoon and evening across the region. Temperatures will remain hot in the 90s through Thursday. A front moves in Thursday evening bringing storms and cooler temperatures into the weekend.

Some widespread scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop in the early afternoon hours and continue through the evening across the bootheels. Heavy rain, lightning and some gusty winds will be associated with the storms.

Sunday afternoon will be quite HOT, with temperatures in the mid to upper 90s.

Feel like temperatures will be near the triple digits due to the increase in moisture.
