Several chances to see storms continue

Trace amounts of rain seen yesterday, and most staying dry and warm on Saturday. A warm, moist air mass is moving into place that will provide several chances at rain and storms throughout the rest of the weekend into next week.

The chances for rain are not big, as most of the storms will be hit and miss throughout the period. Most of us will stay dry, while dodging a few showers and storms here and there, especially through Sunday. Better chances for storms arrive by Monday night.

For now, a Marginal risk includes Cape Girardeau Saturday evening into early Sunday. The Marginal risk is a Level 1 of 5 risk for mostly some scattered, strong wind gusts and hail.

Stormcast increases storm chances by about 6 a.m. on Sunday, waking up to some short-lived rain showers and some stronger winds. This system will move through our area almost due south, shifting winds to be out of the north for a time. However, winds will remain out of the south for most of the day Sunday, warming us up to the middle and upper 80s once again.
